Su libro best seller: ” Breve Historia del Tiempo ” disemina las ideas de Hawking en todo el mundo. El invita con su característica exuberancia al lector a ser un viajero, a dejarse conducir tomado de la mano, sin experimentar miedo, en su extraordinario ( voyage ) por el espacio-tiempo. El autor nos recuerda que los números negativos utilizados para describir el peor estado de salud posible utilizado en los QALYs son desde el punto de vista neurofisiológico, matemático y metafísico , contradictorios por lo tanto falsos.

Finalnente nos invita a una última reflexión para evitar el duplice reduccionismo filosófico y epistemológico de la ciencia y la aproximación reduccionista a la vida humana para que en los estudios que involucran los seres humanos, tengamos en cuenta el valor ontológico de la persona humana y respetemos la dignidad y los trascendentales que esa persona encarna. El autor llama a los científicos QALYs y DALYs a refinar sus instrumentos, si quieren captar el misterio de la persona humana que Hawking nos revela.
